So I'm a sucker for British Costume Dramas. It's a guilty pleasure, the more dramatic and romantic, the better.

Sense and Sensibility. BBC, 2008.
Because Dominic Cooper plays the perfect charismatic d-bag as Willoughby.

Pride and Prejudice. BBC, 1995.
Yes, the whole series may be five hours, but the comic timing is excellent, I laugh all the way through.

North and South. BBC, 2004.The Industrial Revolution, conflict in the Church of England, gossip and rumors, love across social divides, overcoming pride in order to allow love in, and a huge misunderstanding -- what more do you need? Plus, Richard Armitage is hot.

Little Dorrit. BBC, 2008.
Little Dorrit is as Dickens as it comes. It is raw, tragic, and complex. Luckily, even though the story goes from bad to worse to devastating, it ends pretty happy.

Cranford. BBC, 2007.
Judi Dench is amazing. And the old ladies are so cute. It's like the Golden Girls, except historical.

Northanger Abbey. iTV, 2007.
A rendition of a less known Jane Austen novel, but so good.


Far from the Maddening, 1998

One of the only Thomas Hardy novels that actually ends happily. Also, Nathaniel Parker pulls off facial so well.
